Kelsey Sandefur, MA, LAC
Kelsey is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of Arkansas. Kelsey received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, graduating magna cum laude. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in Counseling from Central Baptist College.
She is a member of the Arkansas Mental Health Counselors Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has earned a certificate of completion from Light University in the “Teenage Search for Significance, Identity and Self Worth”.
Kelsey has training in the areas of domestic violence, trauma, sexual abuse, crisis, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. She enjoys working with women and teenagers, specifically. Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy, Kelsey comes alongside clients with unconditional positive regard and assists them in changing their negative core beliefs and teaches them coping skills for life. With a strong Christian background, Kelsey also provides the opportunity to perform faith-based counseling when it is requested by the client.
Kelsey is interested in furthering her education in the future. She plans to continue her education through trainings, specialized certificates, and possibly a doctorate degree in the future. Kelsey believes that education is never finished; you can never have too much knowledge.
